There are two different answers to this question. Please choose which ever one you prefer.

REALITY: We run a haunted trail, one of eight separate haunted attractions operating at Scream Acres (J. B. Starkey Wilderness Park in New Port Richey, FL). All of the haunted attractions are free, entrance is free, and even parking is free. You don't have to spend a dime to attend.

FANTASY: Specter Academy is fighting a desperate battle against evil supernatural forces. In order to survive the upcoming war we need to recruit fresh blood! Thus we have taken over a state park to establish a confidence course. This course consists of a series of monsters, ghosts, and possessed humans that we have captured over the years. Each entity will be trapped by a series of containment field generators. Hopeful recruits can attempt to work their way through the trail of nightmarish threats and life-altering scares. Staff members positioned throughout the trail will judge their performance and contact those who have the right stuff!

If you tried out last year, but were not recruited, please come back. As vampires continue to whittle away at our ranks we’ve dropped our standards dramatically, and this year we promise a 90% survival rate!
