We began as a group of isolated individuals, each having seen first-hand the supernatural threat working in the shadows of our own communities. Our individual efforts to stop this growing menace accomplished nothing. Only after we had been united as a group by Arcturus, were we able to coordinate our efforts and began to successfully thwart these threats to the living.

Key in our ability to strike back was our ability to capture and study the entities pitted against us. This was the only means we had of learning what strengths and weakness our opponents truly possessed, and which were only old wives tales. Their incarceration was accomplished by means of a containment field generator.

This is not just a Star Trek term, our containment field generators are electromagnetic coils. As many ghost hunters know, electromagnetic fields are frequently associated with paranormal phenomenon. However, in order to turn a simple detection device into a containment field, we had to modulate the frequency of our electromagnetic coils and generate a canceling wave. This canceling wave is impossible for a paranormal entity to cross without being destroyed.

Modulating the frequency requires that we perfectly counter the ambient paranormal frequency. The only way we were able to measure this is with a paranormal node, specifically, a crystal skull. How we acquired this rare and treasured item is a secret we intend to keep.

Once we began working together as a group, we began hunting down paranormal threats and capturing them. Back in 1997 we captured Lilith - this beaturiful and ethereal apparition. She remains one of oldest and most enigmatic entities.

Don't let her looks delude you. While we have been unable to determine her origins, we have seen first hand the danger posed by exposure: weakness, feeling perpetually cold, and in extreme cases mental derangements - as you will see...

Here we have an extreme case of someone tainted by paranormal contact. The individual to the left was formerly a member of Specter Academy, however proximity to Lilith drove to a homicidal rage due.

The initial symptoms were very minor; sleeplessness, irritability, and a fascination with Lilith herself. The fascination grew into obsession and he spent more time in the proximity of Lilith than anyone was aware of.

Finally he went on a rampage killing seven people within Specter Academy. An autopsy revealed his levels of serotonin were non-existent, as if he had not slept in at least a week. In addition, lesions had forms on his face, hands, and chest.

It should go without saying, new safety protocols have been enacted regarding the exposure allowed to the entities we have captured.
